About

Anglo Concertina Playgroup was inspired by the Melodeon Playgroup.

The idea is to create as safe environment for students to feel comfortable whilst trying to grasp the basics of learning the Anglo Concertina.

Originally it was planned as series of one day workshops at an easily accessible venue in Central England. However as soon as the idea had crystallised COVID intervened and it was postponed until later in the year. Then when it became obvious that it was going to be a long time before we would be able to gather in a building anywhere we realised that it had to go online. Our first playgroup was in 2020.

2022 and now we are able to meet in person, in Gloucester, in Westgate Street, the street where Charles Wheatstone lived (inventor of the concertina).

The tickets are intentionally kept to a low price to enable anyone to access the course.
